Its concept has a touch of retro style modernized with up-to-date styling and production techniques. The car is styled under the direction of design chief J. Mays in Ford's Living Legend Studio.

 

Power source and transmission are upgraded except the base 3.8L pushrod V6. The concept cars were shown with the 4.6-liter dual-overhead-cam supercharged V8 formerly used for the 2003 SVT Cobra. It is expected to generate an impressive 400 horsepower. The GT features a six-speed manual transmission, while the Convertible has a five-speed automatic.
